Equipment for livestock producers and acreage owners was a key focus for New Holland at the National Farm Machinery Show this year. The company has added three new models to its Workman line of utility tractors. A Poultry House Special version was designed to meet the unique needs of chicken farmers working in dark, low-clearance buildings.
U.S. dealers will begin selling the new T5.130 and T5.140 in Dynamic Command and AutoCommand in spring 2020. These machines were designed with livestock farmers in mind.
The company introduced two new products at World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, this week, as well. The 129-hp. TH7.42 Elite large-frame telehandler and BigBaler 349 High Density baler were unveiled at that show this week.

Jeremy Hughes, Horsch product manager, unveiled the new Maestro SV planter saying, “We have all the same characteristics, all the same agronomic benefits as its big brother the Maestro SW.”
The Germany-based company also highlighted weed-management and spraying tools it plans to make available to farmers in the near future.

JCB also highlighted new products designed for livestock farmers in its National Farm Machinery Show space. The new 542-70 AGRI Super Loadall was designed specifically for agriculture with high visibility and features a comfortable cab for all-day operation.

Kinze’s new 4705 planter will be available for the 2021 planting season in a 24-row, 30-inch configuration. It may be equipped with Kinze’s Blue Drive electric drive and True Rate meters. The new 05 series of planters was designed with simple maintenance, improved performance, and reduced cost of ownership in mind.

Iowa-based Vermeer introduced Classic, Signature, and Premium models of its 604R baler in September 2019. A net wrap sensor that tells the operator in the cab how much net wrap is left is standard equipment on all three models. When it’s time to reload, the built-in net hoist will simplify the process. The hoist is standard on the Premium baler and can be added to Classic or Signature machines.

Claas had a large display highlighting its latest combine, tractor, and silage chopping technology. The Axion 800 series of tractors was introduced in summer of 2019. The series includes seven models ranging in horsepower from 200 to 280.
Bobcat had two exhibit areas at the National Farm Machinery Show to highlight its new line of compact tractors and improved compact track loader and skid steer line. A Bobcat CT2025 will be the grand prize of the Successful Farming® Reboot Your Acreage Contest running through May 1, 2020.
